In 2003, 22 public, private and non-governmental organizations joined together to establish ECafrique, a bilingual, international network of health professionals, dedicated to building the knowledge and experience base needed to introduce, deliver and mainstream quality EC services in Africa.  To date, ECafrique has a membership of over 1000 institutional and individual members.
